In 2014, Alexander Harding Bradley and Luke Edward Harding Bradley were approached with the idea of organizing a one-time fundraising event for the benefit of a public elementary school in Moshi, Tanzania named Sanya Station School. In a severely-underdeveloped and impoverished region of Tanzania, Sanya Station students were unable to concentrate fully in school chiefly because they went to school hungry. Hence, Alexander and Luke Edward decided they would organize this fundraising event to fund a year-long school lunch program for the children of Sanya Station, so that the students of Sanya Station would have more energy to concentrate during the day and get the best education out of Sanya Station that they could.
After submitting a letter to local parish Church of the Nativity, drafting a fundraising speech, preparing a local Tanzanian song, and setting up tables with local Tanzanian goods for sale, Luke Edward and Alexander spent the day singing (hence the name "A Voice for Others") and encouraging members of the community to donate to the cause. Due to the success of the "A Voice for Others" initiative, Alexander and Luke Edward decided to continue fundraising to further the livelihood and education of impoverished youth in Sub-Saharan Africa. Up to date, Luke Edward and Alexander have raised over $60,000 through the "A Voice for Others" initiative for an array of projects ranging from water pumps for rural communities to size-adjustable shoes for children in areas of Uganda and Ethiopia known for having soil-transmittable diseases and hope to continue helping the impoverished youth in Sub-Saharan Africa for many more years to come.
