Vita is an Irish development partner, which works with communities in Africa to fight hunger and climate change. Our mission is to enable communities to build sustainable livelihoods in our partner countries, Eritrea and Ethiopia, through a focus on food security, community-led development, special attention on climate change and our commitment to women’s empowerment.

The Company of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Servants of the Poor serve people who are poor and marginalized with humility, simplicity, and charity. The Daughters of Charity are committed to reaching and empowering those who are the most abandoned and marginalized by addressing needs of food, water, sanitation and shelter; and through their sustaining works including health care, HIV/AIDS, migrant and refugee assistance, education and more. About 18,000 Daughters of Charity currently work in 94 countries around the world.

Love Without Boundaries is an international charity that life-changing medical care to orphaned and vulnerable children, and their under served communities, through its education, nutrition, medical, and foster care programs. It is LWB’s vision to provide the most loving and compassionate help possible to orphaned and impoverished children, and to show the world that every child, regardless of his or her needs, deserves to experience love and be treated with dignity and care.

Founded in November 1980 as a work of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic organization with a mission to accompany, serve and advocate on behalf of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons. More than 1,400 workers contribute to the work of JRS, many work on a voluntary basis, including about 78 Jesuits and 66 religious from other congregations. JRS programs are found in 51 countries, providing assistance to, among others, refugees in camps and cities, individuals displaced within their own countries. The main areas of work are in the field of education, emergency assistance, healthcare, livelihood activities and social services.

Because of Kennedy is a non-profit organization that exists to care for orphans and empower the vulnerable in Ethiopia while demonstrating faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ.  Specifically the objective of theirOrphan Care program is to provide food and supplies to orphanages in need by collecting and purchasing needed food, clothing, toys, and supplies that are needed for a range of partner orphanages

Village Volunteers (VV) is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with rural village and capacity-building programs to support the development of sustainable solutions to community challenges. Village Volunteers works to leave a legacy that supports self sufficiency and has a profound impact on the health and welfare of the communities they serve, using a model is based on empowerment: all village projects are executed and managed by locals. Founded in the belief that partnership and advocacy is a key factor in the renewal and healing of areas plagued by poverty, hunger and disease, we partner with communities to reach their full potential through collaborative, sustainable, grassroots approaches.
